Sherbet and yogurt add calcium to the smoothies. Calcium is essential to building strong bones and helps in cleansing the body of fat. Our sherbet and yogurt are considered low fat. Sherbet has fat 1% by weight, 8% by calorie, and nonfat yogurt has 0% fat, and protein 5% by weight, 15% by calorie. Whereas, regular ice cream has fat 16% by weight, 60% by calorie, protein 1% by weight and 5% by calorie. We feel sherbet and yogurt enhances the flavor and health benefits of our smoothie. If you prefer to have your smoothie made without sherbet, we will be happy to accommodate you.

We currently have two Keva Juice Smoothies that are nutritionally balanced for individuals who are diabetic. These smoothies are the L.G.(low glycemic) Bluffin’ Muffin and the L.G.(low glycemic) Double Berry Burst. The low-glycemic smoothies are composed of easy-to-digest and high biological value protein, real fruit, dietary fiber, and all-natural ingredients that are converted to energy gradually by the body, and help to keep your blood sugar steady and your energy up. One 24-oz low-glycemic smoothie is equivalent to 4 carbohydrate exchanges, 4 protein exchanges, 1 fat exchange, and 1/3 to 1/2 dietary fiber daily needs based on the American Diabetes Association and American Dietetic Association Exchange Lists for Meal Planning. Because of these factors and its low glycemic index, the low-glycemic smoothie is considered to be a well-balanced diabetic liquid meal. For the general public who are looking for a high protein, low fat, high dietary fiber and calcium drink, the low-glycemic smoothie fits into their healthy lifestyle! Always check first with your doctors or diabetic educators.
The Liquid Olympian is our featured non-dairy drink. It is important to note that this drink comes with a Protein-Gizer. This uses whey protein which has a dairy base. If you are allergic to milk or are following a strict vegetarian diet you should request the drink without protein. Radio personality Leah Black has also created a completely non-dairy smoothie called the Leah-Licious.
